The 3M 2080 Car Wrap series is the logical further development of the popular 3M 1080 and 1380 car film series. It is optimized for full-surface vehicle wrapping and vehicle decoration with emblems or stripes. The 3M 2080 Car Wrap series is used on all types of land and water vehicles (when applied above the static waterline). The 3M 2080 film series impresses with an optimized appearance and even better formability than its predecessor series. Curves, rivets, complex curves and deep beads as well as V-shaped indentations are no problem for the 3M 2080 series.

The 3M 2080 Series car wrap film is therefore extremely easy to apply for beginners and at the same time meets the highest demands in terms of finish and handling. The 0.09mm thick, extremely conformable car wrap film is produced with two layers of paint for greater dimensional stability and durability.

With 3M Protective Film Layer (PFL) against scratches and squeegee marks

The PFL layer is not part of the pattern. Of course, we always try to send samples with PFL, but we cannot guarantee this. The innovative Protective Film Layer (PFL), a protective film on the film, significantly improves the productivity and handling of the 3M 2080 compared to other car wrap products. It reliably protects the underlying film from scratches and squeegee marks. After application, the protective film can be removed quickly, easily and cleanly. Pressure marks on the surface of glossy films are significantly reduced and the film is protected from scratches during application for a perfect result. The PFL can be found on all glossy films in the 3M 2080 series.

3 adhesive colors for ideal coverage with 3M Comply™ and 3M Controltac™

The adhesive color of the 3M 2080 series is white for films with light colors, silver for the medium color range and black for dark colors. This ensures the best possible coverage.

The pressure-activated Controltac™ adhesive system enables easy positioning and repositioning, while the Comply™ version in the adhesive system enables fast and bubble-free bonding. The 3M 2080 Series Car Wrap is resistant to weathering and fuels. After application, the adhesive strength increases within a few hours. At the latest 48 hours after application, the films are firmly bonded to their substrate. Nevertheless, the 3M 2080 Series Car Wrap can be removed without leaving any residue even years later.

Color matching with the 3M 1080 and 1380 series

The color match between the series is so good that there are generally no differences, and in some cases only minimal differences. However, the following applies: only material from one roll may be used for bonding several film webs. Color deviations of materials from different lot numbers, production dates and production locations cannot be ruled out.
