Description
This high performance PVC and phthalate free film is characterized by its high conformability in numerous long term applications, such as indoor and outdoor advertising, vehicle advertising, and adhesion to watercraft and textured walls. Its excellent conformability also makes it suitable for bonding on vehicles with deep corrugations and deformations.
3M™ Envision™ Print Wrap film LX480mC is suitable for latex inkjet inks, 3M™ Envision™ Print Wrap film SV480mC for solvent-based inkjet inks and LX480mC SV480mC for UV inkjet or screen inks.
To protect finished graphics, 3M recommends the PVC- and phthalate-free glossy 3M™ Envision™ Wrap protective laminate 8548. The protective laminate has a number of environmental benefits to offer. It contains no chlorine or other halogen-containing compounds, and is made in part from biogenic raw materials and with 60% less solvent use than conventional cast films.
Equipped with 3M™ Controltac™ and 3M™ micro-Comply™ technology, special positionability is possible when applying the film. In this process, the adhesive system serves as a mechanical spacer to the substrate.
- 3M™ Controltac™ is effective within a wide temperature range. This simplifies the installation of large format graphics.
- 3M™ micro-Comply™ is an adhesive technology that uses air channels in the adhesive for quick, easy and bubble-free application of graphics.
