The 3M™ Envision™ Translucent Printing Film Series IJ3730 is the first to be optimized specifically for use with LED light sources. Its increased light transmission accounts for the greatly improved homogeneity of light distribution with LED light sources compared to traditional fluorescent or neon lighting. The lower luminosity losses compared to conventional translucent color films allow savings in the number of illuminants - leading to energy savings and reduced operating costs. It has been optimized for printing in PIJ printers with solvent, UV and latex inks.
Cast PVC film (50 µm), solvent-based adhesive (permanent). Functional life up to 10 years. Wet-applicable, deep-drawable (possibly limited by printing inks). Recommended transfer tapes: SCPM-19 (large formats), SCPS-100 (small formats). Optimized for LED light sources: particularly high light transmission, enables higher energy efficiency compared to classic translucent films (e.g. 3630 series).
