The 3M Scotchcal™ Protective Laminate 8500 Series is available in two versions:
- 8518 - Transparent & Glossy
- 8520 - Transparent & Matt
3M™ Scotchcal™ Laminate Series 8518 (glossy)/ 8520 (matt) are transparent protective laminates that offer additional UV and mechanical protection for special film constructions. The protective laminates in the 8518/ 8520 series were developed for use in vehicle and transportation advertising and can be processed on standard cold laminators. The films are equipped with a permanent adhesive.
The 3M™ Scotchcal™ laminates series 8518/ 8520 are intended for the following applications:
- Application on solid substrates, such as fixed truck bodies, buses, trains, signage
- On almost all 3M piezo inkjet base films
