3M™ Splinter Protection Film S40(152,4cm)
The 3M™ Splinter Protection Film S40 was developed for applications on the inside of glass panes. It consists of an optically clear, tough elastic and aging resistant polyester film. The film's high tensile strength and elongation at break increase the glass's resistance to pressure, impact and shock. In addition, harmful UV-A rays, the main cause of bleaching damage, are largely reduced. The highly age-resistant, viscoelastic adhesive system of 3M shatterproof films remains permanently clear as glass, so the films are not visible after application. The colors of textiles and decorations in displays are reproduced unaltered. 3M shatter protection films provide effective protection against injuries or property damage caused by flying glass splinters. In the event of glass breakage, the shards are held in place by the adhesive system. The 3M™ Splinter Protection Film S40 is approved according to EN 12600 (pendulum impact test).
