3M's highly reflective solar control film is designed for applications on the exterior of glass panels. Incoming heat rays are absorbed and reflected by the film, unlike conventional sunscreens. In addition, harmful UV rays, the main cause of bleaching damage, are largely reduced. Thus, you can keep the temperature at home or in the office in a comfortable range even in the height of summer and go about your daily routine or work without being blinded. Thanks to its almost opaque mirroring, this film is ideal for all applications that are intended to prevent visibility into rooms behind the film. As long as it is darker inside the room to be protected from view than outside, you are reliably protected from glances. The viewer outside only sees a mirrored surface. The mirror effect disappears as soon as the light conditions reverse.
Reliable sun protection and heat reduction
3M solar control films lead to a noticeable reduction in heat and create a balanced room climate - especially on hot days, the rooms are not additionally heated by the incident sunlight. Especially in summer months, air conditioning systems are relieved by the proven sun protection films. At the same time, darkening shading systems can be dispensed with. This reduces the cost of artificial lighting. The tough-elastic polyester film additionally prevents injuries from flying splinters in the event of glass breakage. The 3M Silver 15 Exterior Series solar control films are manufactured with an ultra-thin metal layer. Depending on the degree of tinting, this metal layer causes a strong reduction of glare caused by daylight. The even dispersion of the sun's rays results in a drastic reduction of glare caused by the solar control film. UV-A radiation is largely responsible for color fading. 3M spy film Silver 15 reduces harmful rays by up to 99%, ensuring a significant delay in the fading process. They are therefore particularly suitable for efficiently protecting display objects in shop windows or galleries against fading.
