Strong sun protection for home and office
The highly reflective sun protection film from 3M was developed for applications on the outside of glass panes. In contrast to conventional sun protection devices, the film absorbs and reflects incoming heat rays. In addition, harmful UV rays, the main cause of fading damage, are largely reduced. This keeps the temperature at home or in the office at a comfortable level even at the height of summer and allows you to go about your everyday life or work without glare. Thanks to its almost opaque reflective coating, this film is ideal for all applications that need to prevent people from seeing into rooms behind the film. As long as it is darker inside the room to be protected from view than outside, you are reliably protected from prying eyes. The viewer on the outside only sees a mirrored surface. The mirror effect disappears as soon as the light conditions are reversed.
Reliable sun protection and heat reduction
3M solar control films lead to a noticeable reduction in heat and create a balanced room climate - especially on hot days, the rooms are not additionally heated by the incoming sunlight. Especially in the summer months, air conditioning systems are relieved by the tried and tested solar control films. At the same time, darkening shading systems can be dispensed with. This reduces the cost of artificial light. The viscoplastic polyester film also prevents injuries from flying splinters in the event of glass breakage. The 3M sun protection films in the Silver 15 Exterior series are manufactured with a wafer-thin metal layer. Depending on the degree of tinting, this metal layer greatly reduces the glare caused by daylight. The even scattering of the sun's rays leads to a drastic reduction in glare caused by the solar control film. UV-A radiation is largely responsible for color fading. 3M Spy Film Silver 15 reduces the harmful rays by up to 99% and thus ensures a considerable delay in the fading process. They are therefore particularly suitable for efficiently protecting exhibits in shop windows or galleries against fading.
